Are you a Duke Energy customer? If so, you could qualify for FREE compact fluorescent light bulbs. A few months ago, I called Duke and a short time later a box arrived in the mail. Included were several new light bulbs. The great thing about these….they don’t take very much energy to run. And, Duke is giving them away for free. So either go to their website or call them at 800-943-7585 (option 1).
Having Amazon Prime
feels like a luxury…getting your orders quickly, and not having to meet the $25 threshold to qualify for free super saver shipping. But at a cost of $79/year it can be hard to justify. But…..for a limited time, Amazon is offering a year of free Prime Membership for students. You’ll need a valid .edu e-mail address and verify that you are actually a student (not just an employee of a university).

World Vital Records has a TON of information helpful to family historians or genealogist. It’s more than just names and dates. Now through August 17th, World Vital Records is offering free access to their Yearbook collection. I took a look and found some people I know in college yearbooks. It’s fun looking at the past.
