From now until early September-ish I’ll post a weekly list of great deals on school supplies.  If you don’t have kids, stock up on those “office supplies” that you use.  And, don’t forget to pick up a few extras for your local food pantry.  Most of them offer free school supplies to their clients.  One rule of thumb I use is — if I wouldn’t buy the brand for my family’s use, I don’t buy it for the food pantry either.  Some school supplies are better quality than others, and I’d hate to have someone who couldn’t afford it get a new school supply kit that only lasted a month or so.

A dozen eggs are on sale for $0.99 in my print ads for CVS and Walgreen’s (Cincinnati market).  If you’re going to be stopping by anyway, why not pick up a few dozen for holiday baking.

Hydrogen Peroxide — on sale this week for $0.33 at Walgreens (with coupon limit 3). Regular price is about $0.89.

Hydrogen Peroxide is a great disinfectant and sanitizer for the kitchen.  We use it all the time for kid and adult cuts.  If you don’t have a bottle, pick up 3 and store them in a cool dark place.
