Entertainment Books 50% Off – think Spring Break!

50% off Entertainment Books plus Free Shipping

Want to save money on Spring Break?  You might want to look into getting an Entertainment Book for your destination.  Entertainment is now offering them at 50% off AND free shipping!

Popular destinations I saw on the list include:

  • Orlando $17.50
  • Hawaii $17.50
  • Tampa $17.50
  • Washington DC $17.50
  • Orange County CA $20

And if you’re staying home, you can still save with a local edition.  Most editions are $17.50 — shipped free.

The Entertainment Book has saved our family money when we’ve visited Aquariums, Zoos, Museums, ate dinner, and even rented hotel rooms.

Please note, that Entertainment doesn’t not ship quickly.  They are most likely going to mail this media mail which can take 10-15 days.  They do offer faster shipping for a fee.

Celebrate Dr Seuss’ Birthday

I was just reading at Gov Gab that today is READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY sponsored by the National Education Association.  Today would have been Dr Seuss’ 104th birthday.  So, in honor of his birthday here’s some of our family’s favorite Dr Seuss books.

Go ahead, make a cake, read a book, CELEBRATE!

Cool Seuss inspired cakes, or make one that looks like the book.

The Beach Waterpark Season Pass 2009-2010

Yes, I know it’s December and snow is right around the corner, but if you think ahead to next summer you could save some bucks on summer entertainment.   Our family isn’t much of a waterpark family, but I know of plenty of others who LOVE to hang out at The Beach during those hot, steamy days of summer.  If you’re thinking about going next year, check out this deal directly from The Beach.

TheBeachSeasonPass

You could even buy it now, and wrap it up for a Christmas gift….2 birds with one stone — a gift now and fun at Holiday Fest and all next summer.

Cincinnati Museum Center Membership Deal

Katie over at Cincinnati Cents just posted about a deal on membership at the Cincinnati Museum Center.  We love going to the Museum Center and having a membership makes it easy to go for just a few hours at a time.  I recommend getting a membership that includes parking so you don’t have to worry about forking over $6 to park each time you visit.  The Center — housed at Union Terminal — used to bring many train passengers to Cincinnati.  The building is full of great architecture.   The Children’s Museum downstairs is full of fun for little kids up to about 10.  Kids of all ages seem to gravitate towards the play water feature.  Mine can play here for hours. Be sure to bring a towel to dry off.  Upstairs there’s the Museum of Natural History and Science as well as the Cincinnati History Museum.  I’ve only been to each of these a couple of times because the kids always beg to go downstairs.   More info on the Museum Center is available at: http://www.cincymuseum.org/
