Do you remember the Fine Arts Fund?  Well, they’ve had a name change and how they are Arts Wave.

Thanks to Macy’s, Arts Wave is offering 6 Saturdays full of FREE arts events around town.  What to know what’s up on Feb 12th?  Check out the 9 page PDF.  It’s chocked full of information about some great performances around town.  It looks like there’s something for everyone including:

• backstage tour at Playhouse in the Park
• This Little Light of Mine by the Cincinnati Opera
• Origami Meets the Price is Right at the Fairfield Community Arts Center
• Watch Artists at work at the Greenwich House Gallery
• Young musicians in Silver Strings will perform at Lakota East Freshman Campus
• and so much more

Are you a Duke Energy customer?  If so, you could qualify for FREE compact fluorescent light bulbs.  A few months ago, I called Duke and a short time later a box arrived in the mail.  Included were several new light bulbs.  The great thing about these….they don’t take very much energy to run.  And, Duke is giving them away for free.  So either go to their website or call them at 800-943-7585 (option 1).

FYI…the 5# bag of flour that I listed in my weekly grocery deals list is actually NOT the 5# bag.  The $1 sale is for the 2 pound bags.  Sorry!  I didn’t notice the error until I went to stock up on them tonight.  The 5# bags are still a good deal at $1.35/bag.
