Cincinnati Zoo

Cincinnati Zoo

Does your family like the Zoo?  Do your kids beg to go, but you’re not in the mood to spend $$$ for a couple of hours of entertainment?  You might want to consider a membership.  The Cincinnati Zoo memberships are a good deal.  Check out their  family memberships.  There’s one for every kind of family.  And it includes all minor children living with you.  This is a great deal for animal lovers.  I like being a member of the zoo because you can just drop in for a few hours each visit.  You can concentrate on one part of the zoo at a time.  Memberships also entitles you to visit during HalloZOOeen in October and the Festival of Lights from Thanksgiving to New Years.

I’m not a fan of downtown parking and driving, but the zoo is perfectly located – I-75 to exit 6, with it’s own parking lot ($6.50).  Upgraded memberships include free parking.

Another added bonus is that many zoos and aquariums have reciprical agreements with each other. They offer discounted to free admission when you show your card.   In my experience a 50% discount is most likely.  Just call before you visit to verify.

How many visits until your membership has paid for itself?

Adult (ages 13-61): regular admission price $13

Children (ages2-12): regular admission price $9

Basic Family Membership: $84

This is for ALL members of your household.  So, if you have a 7 kids, you’ll pay for a membership in just one visit.  For those of us with fewer kids it typically takes 2-3 visits.  But that’s ok, there’s plenty to do at the Zoo.

Don’t live in the Cincinnati area?  Check out your local Zoo or Aquarium.  Most of similar membership deals.  And then when you come to Cincinnati to visit, you can get into our zoo for 50% off.
